Finish setup
Two quick steps and this page goes live.
- In Supabase, open SQL Editor, paste the SQL below, and run it.
- Open this file in a text editor and fill in SUPABASE_URL, SUPABASE_ANON_KEY (Project Settings, then API) and PAYPAL_ME at the top of the script.
- In Supabase, go to Authentication, then Users, and add yourself as a user. That email and password is your admin login.

Pick your standing name
Standings now use one name per player, so you show up the same way every week no matter how your name is spelled in the tournament. Pick yours once, then tap your name in the results each week like before.
Claim your club and location
Standings now rank players and clubs by place: local, state, national and world. Tell us where you play from and which club you play with, so your points count in the right place.

How MBXC works
MBXC tracks results from tournaments that local organizers already run. We don't host events, and nothing about those events changes.
Steps
- Play your event. Any individual event run by an approved club: . Team events are not included.
- Submit within 7 days. Create a free account on this site, tap the day you played, and open your event. Events appear there after the organizer posts the results. Tap your name in the results and submit. Results older than that can't be entered.
- Pay 3 dollars. We email you a PayPal link. Pay within 7 days or the submission expires.
- You're on the board. Once your payment is confirmed, your result counts toward the quarterly and annual standings.
Where the $3 goes
Good to know
Soft launch: events before January 1, 2027 earn free beta points on their own Beta board. No payment is needed. The official season, the $3 fee and prizes start that day.
Existing tournaments, rules and gameplay stay exactly as they are. MBXC exists to support local scenes and the clubs that run them. Each club's $1.00 only comes from results at that club's own events. If the club hasn't signed up with the Collective yet, its $1.00 is held for 90 days after the end of the month it was earned. If the club signs up in that time it receives it. Otherwise it goes to the prize pools.
Bring your club into the Collective
Your club keeps running its own events exactly as it does now. Your players submit their results here, they climb the leaderboard, and your club earns $1 for every result submitted from your events.
Already in the Collective? Send this week's bracket
Paste the Challonge link for your event each week. It goes straight to the admin, so results can be added without anyone having to hunt for it.
Sending a link doesn't count anything by itself. Each event is still checked before results are added.
New club? Apply
Applications are reviewed by hand. Once approved, your club is set up as its own league, the same way every club is, and you'll be able to see it listed on the How it works page.
Application received
Thanks! We'll review it and contact the organizer you listed.

Imported events
Club bracket links
Clubs send their Challonge link each week from the For clubs page. Open it, then tap Import to start the event import with the club and date filled in.
Event review
Players' results are grouped by their Challonge link. Open the bracket, then accept or deny the whole event. Accepted events can count once players pay. Denied events are marked for refunds.
Players
Clubs
Each club is its own league, set up the same way as DFW Beyblades. A club only earns the $1 for results submitted at its own events.
What-if report
Takes the free beta results and shows what a club would have earned if they had been paid $3 submissions, then projects 2027. Made to show club directors.

Security
Locks the admin so only your sign-in email works, even if someone else makes an account. It uses the email you're signed in with right now. Run it once in the Supabase SQL Editor.
Player accounts
Lets players sign in and submit only to events you've imported. Run the admin lock first. In Supabase, keep new sign-ups on and turn off "Confirm email" so players don't wait for a confirmation email.
Standing names
One name per player for the standings. Players pick it when they create an account, and returning players are asked to pick one the next time they sign in. Run this once in Supabase (safe to run again). Until you do, the site works as it did before and nobody is asked for a name.
Player bracket links
New players give a link to the last bracket they played in when they sign up. This saves it with their profile so you can open it from the Players tab. Run the standing names SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again). Until you do, the link is still asked for on sign-up but isn't saved to the profile.
New player approval
New players wait in a queue until you approve them, and their results stay off the standings until then. Players who already have accounts are approved automatically. Run the standing names SQL and the bracket link SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again).
Adds Ban, Unban and Delete account buttons for players. Run the new player approval SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again).
Player profile details
Lets players add a location, favorite Beyblade, where they play and a short bio to their profile, and optionally their age. Run the standing names SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again). Until you do, profiles look as before and there's no Edit button.
Clubs
Lets other clubs join as their own league, each with its own payout link and tallies. Run the admin lock SQL and the events SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again). Until you do, the site works as it does now with DFW Beyblades only.
Listed clubs and held money
Lets you add a club just so a player can take part, before it has signed up. Its $1 is held for 90 days after the month it was earned, then goes to the prize pools unless the club signs up. Run the clubs SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again).
Club applications
Adds the "Add your club" form for other clubs. Applications show up in the Clubs tab as pending, with their PayPal link and contact. Run the clubs SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again).
Places and affiliations
Adds state and country to clubs, and lets players claim their club and location. This is what powers the Local, State, National and World standings. Run the club hold SQL and the profile details SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again).
Club bracket links
Lets clubs send you their Challonge link each week from the For clubs page. Links land in the Links tab. Run the clubs SQL and the events SQL first, then run this once in Supabase (safe to run again).
Backup
One file with every submission, event, roster, review, and payout. Save it somewhere safe now and then.
Database
After updating the site, run this SQL once in Supabase (safe to run again) so the newest admin tools can save.
